(5/3/2026)  Congratulations to both Joey and Lucas who competed in the 75th Anniversary Gardena Judo tournament. Both are great examples of El Toro Judo students. Working hard and learning from the experience. Joey, unfortunately did not place, but Lucas took Silver in his division. Well done.

(4/26/16) This week was our Promotion test, the following students took part and were promoted to their next judo rank. Satsuki, Wesley, Nick and Lucas. Congratulations to all.

(03/20/26) Update. Kodomo (kids) Lesson plans now added to the Kids Class page. These will be added for the calendar month. See additional information on Kodomo classes at El Toro Judo Club.

A new table added on the promotions page defining Kodomo to Seinan rank conversions.

(10/20/25) A big well done to Kate achieving promotion to Green with Stripe (7th Kyu).
 
(9/28/25) A huge pat on the back for Lucas, who competed in his very first competition last weekend. He competed in the Nanka Fall Development Tournament in Westminster and demonstrated a performance he can be proud of. Well Done!!!

(8/8/25) The 2025-2026 Kodomo Class Curriculum begins on Friday September 5th 2025. This is when we start to prepare for the next rank promotion, which is scheduled for April 2026.  For details refer to Kids Class page.

(6/16/25) A big announcement, Haylee received the El Toro Judo Student of the year award at the Nanka Award Luncheon on Sunday,  Click here to see more. Congratulations to Haylee.

(6/6/25) Another well deserved promotion to announce. Haylee has achieved kodomo rank of  Green with Stripe. Congratulations on a great test performance.

(4/6/25). Along with last weeks promotions, a big well done goes to Michael and Sebouh, who passed all the requirements to be promoted to kodomo Green Belt.  Well done to them both.

(4/1/25). It is Spring promotion time again. So a big congratulations and well done go out to Annabelle, and Kai for passing their Yellow Belt test,  Lucas and Sam for becoming Orange belts.   Good job all of you!!!!

(3/24/25) A very big well done has to go out to Nick, Rithyk and Joey who all competed in Sunday's Nanka Spring Tournament. All of them should be proud of what they did and experienced. If Judo was easy we would all be champions.... This was the first Judo tournament ever for Nick and Rithyk and although the fights did not go their way, they both were able to take away lessons that will only make them better competitors. Joey also did terrific only narrowly missing out on taking a bronze meal.
